CHSS - Mobile health to support people with dementia and their caregivers

The increase of mobile health and wellbeing apps and wearable solutions is one of the major factors for the change we are experiencing in daily living, working and social contexts. This rapid transition poses huge opportunities to adopt a smart healthy lifestyle to prevent chronic diseases, to recover properly after treatment or to slow down the effect of chronic diseases.

This Summer School has been designed for early career researchers and delegates who are focusing on the research and development of new mobile health services and apps. Summer School 2018 has  2.5 ECTS equivalency.

Summer School student will attend overall sessions and specific working group activities, while delegates will be able to attend all the sessions of the Summer School and related networking and social events. Delegates are members of Public or private Organisations, interested in the Connect Health domain, willing to take part at the Summer School and parallel strategic initiatives events. The Summer School has a program of activities, both from a theoretical and practical perspective, which will offer training in technology, health, social science and business topics.

A connected medical device is one which is able to generate, collect, analyse or transmit data or images and can connect to health care provider networks and transmit data to either a cloud repository or internal servers in order to prevent, diagnose or treat diseases. Devices for well-being and fitness are not included.
